We traveled 7,000 miles across the United States in our 2000 VW Eurovan.  It never broke down and has served us well.  We purchased it from our friends, Eric and Emily Strong, who live in Ashland Oregon and camped in the summers in it  with their two daughters for a decade.  Before leaving, we removed the refrigerator to give us more storage space and installed a roof rack and carrier for our camping equipment.  It made a great "home away from home"
